  1. EXTRAS/RAMDISK

  4.    Puts the currently active catalogue onto the ramdisk
  5.    (which requires enough memory to be available). This function
  6.    should mainly be used for larger catalogues (with more than 100
  7.    entries) or ALWAYS with slower drives (catalogues on CD-ROM, MO-Drives,
  8.    etc.) since nearly all program features (especially browsing,
  9.    sorting, optimising, updating, etc.) will be executed much
  10.    faster. But it has to be mentioned that any changes to the catalogue
  11.    only exist within the RAMDISK copy and that the catalogue has to be
  12.    re-saved via RAMDISK --> CATALOG to keep these changes permanently
  13.    for the catalogue within the actual data directory.

  16.    * CATALOG --> RAMDISK : Copies the active catalogue to the RAMDISK
  17.                            (specific amount of memory required).

  19.    * DELETE:               Deletes the active catalogue from RAMDISK.
  20.                            Any changes would then be lost.

  23.    * RAMDISK --> CATALOG:  Recopies the catalogue from RAMDISK to
  24.                            the data directory where the present
  25.                            catalogue will be overwritten.
  26.                            After that it will be deleted from the
  27.                            Ramdisk.

  32.    Required amount of RAM: For each catalogue entry the following amount

  35.                  -->  greyscaled (small/large)   : appr. 6/8 KB
  36.                  -->  coloured    (small/large)   : appr. 12/16 KB

  41.    CATALOG --> RAMDISK will only actually be executed if, after
  42.    transferring the catalogue to Ramdisk, at least approximately 250 KB
  43.    free CHIP and about 150 KB free FAST memory still remains.
